Check the manufacturer instructions for every paint, adhesive, fixings and power tool. Wall loading, stud and cable positions, fire rating, ventilation and damp are matters for a qualified person, and tenancy agreements and building rules differ by location. Get advice before structural, gas, electrical or asbestos work, and before anything that needs a permit.
No guaranteed results
Rooms differ in size, light, humidity, substrate and traffic. A finish that cured well in our workshop may fail on a damp north wall. Measurements, cut lists, colour and coverage figures are ours on our materials; verify them against yours before buying or cutting.
Safety and tools
We show the eye, ear and dust protection we used, the ladder setup and the ventilation. Blades, spray finishes, solvents and sanding dust are hazardous. Keep tools and materials away from children, and stop and get advice if a job exceeds your competence.
